Portrait Charcoal Drawing
Feruary 7th - April 18th
Saturdays 2pm - 5pm
Course Description
In this Course we will be working from live models in the method of sight size. We will work on toned paper in charcoal and white chalk. This course is a precursor to portrait painting. Drawing is the most important element of any figurative painting. This course allows us to study the anatomy, proportions and method for constructing a realistic portrait with an accurate likeness without the added challenges of oil paint. The mediums we will be using and the way in which the course is taught is designed to lead seamlessly into the way paint is applied and values are organized when painting
